Founded 1894
Locks Heath FC was founded in 1894 but prior to that played as St Johns Chapel team against other local church and chapel teams.
In the early 1900s, most of our competitive football was played in local leagues such as Gosport and Fareham, Meon Valley and Portsmouth Leagues.
The Locks Heath Recreation Ground has been our home for more than 70 years. The Club is a section of the Locks Heath Sports and Social Club which has a Licensed Club House on the Site, we have sole use of the Football Pitch during the season. We have erected a permanent barrier around the pitch, two Dug Outs and in 2002 installed Floodlights.
We currently run a first team playing in the Hampshire Premier League, a Reserve Team playing in the Hampshire Combination League and an Under 18's Team who play in the Hampshire Youth League.
In 2008 the club also started a Veterans team for former players of the club. The VETS play friendlies against other local Veteran teams, where the emphasis is enjoyment, rolling back the years and enjoying the 3rd half in the clubhouse.
